REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION 2018…….


Yet another memorable day when DL DAV PITAMPURA  celebrated India’s 69th Republic Day on 26th January, 2018 in the school playground with a great deal of patriotic fervor and zeal…. The spirit of patriotism warmed up the cold  chilly winter morning as the teachers and children of the school enthusiastically gathered to mark the ceremony….. Our honourable Principal ma’am Ms Anita Wadehra , in her address to the gathering, expressed pride in the rich cultural past of the country. ……….She urged every student to work with honesty and dedication for the nation.
The day began with the ‘MARCH PAST’ by the students of all the five houses ……..the house captains holding the house flag paid tribute to the nation on the rhythmic drum beats………the teachers and the students were also seen in their house colour dresses….The ceremony concluded by a melodious sync presented by the  school choir and the music department….Thereafter, the  head boy and the head girl along with the students’ council presented the tricolor badge to Principal ma’am…………The HIGHLIGHT of the event was the flag hoisting of the Indian flag ….. tricolor balloons were released in the air with a sense of pride and freedom ….a loud cheering was heard and there was a broad smile on everyone’s face….Everybody altogether sang VANDEMATARAM … with great pride in being Indian…It was followed by a cultural bonanza…………the students spoke on the significance of the REPUBLIC DAY….The programme for the day comprised of patriotic songs by the school choir and speeches on R-Day by students of the school. Some students spoke on the lives of various freedom fighters and the martyrs of the Indian freedom struggle…. The entire school courtyard reverberated with the rhythemic beats of  some of the inspiring patriotic songs like ‘Rang de Basanti’ , ‘desh rangeela ‘ , ‘chak de India’ , and so on……………. The dance recitals involving various movements, mesmerizing formations engrossed the audiences to the core and the students were seen dancing to it with the tricolour flags fluttering in their hands ……...The events that followed also included a beautiful piece of patriotic Hindi NUKKAD NATAKA presented by the students of class IV on the theme ‘THE REAL HEROES’. The students paid tribute to the soldiers , the real heroes of India ….
On this momentous occasion , our Principal ma’am also acknowledged the kind souls of DLDAV PITAMPURA , , the STUDENTS WHO HAD MADE HIGHEST COLLECTIONS FOR THE  SOS CHILDREN FUND.
The programme ended with very inspiring speech given by  Principal ma’am as she expressed the delight in witnessing the programme….National Anthem was sung………. in the end JAI HIND was said three times and a salute was given to the motherland…………..
